Ani and George are yet another loving couple that I fondly remember. They wanted the full package, so they got an engagement session and also an after wedding session. The first session took place in a very sunny day, much like the wedding day. I cannot say the same about the day we chose to shoot the after wedding session. They wanted to shoot this on Transfăgărăşan road. This is one of the the most beautiful roads in the world, located in Carpathian mountains in Romania.
The weather forecast wasn’t so good. However we took the risk and decided to go anyway. It was worse than the weather forecast. A storm started exactly when we arrived at Balea Lac. Well, that’s not a great place to be when a storm comes. I remember we were sitting in the car and we were very disappointed. We didn’t know what to do. We decided to wait though.
Although the rain didn’t stopped at all, the clouds have dissipated for 10 minutes. We got out of the car and started shooting quickly. At first glance no wedding photographer would like to be in such a situation but I can say that this has been helpful to us.
If the weather had not been so bad, we would probably have got more shots. But there’s no way I could shoot those shots. Because of the weather we were alone there, which was great. Usually that area at Balea Lac is crowded with tourists. That was our opportunity to shoot some unique pictures. We shot a few pictures only, but I’m very proud of them and I will remember this experience fondly.
