Alexandra & Silviu

What could I say about Alexandra and Silviu? They are a loving and an optimistic couple. I talked less than 10 minutes with Alexandra and she asked me  directly when can we sign the contract. This happened on facebook of course, because they live in Scotland. After we signed the contract we talked online about various details regarding the wedding. Then we met for the engagement photo session. I noticed how well they complement each other, how they look at each other. We chose several locations and we walked from one to another, talking and making some photos. We were lucky to witness a gorgeous sunset in a small grove on the banks of the Danube. Several photos of this session:

And so, the wedding day arrived. The newlyweds were very emotional and the parents alike. I started the day shooting the preparations in the morning. During the wedding I tried to focus on unseen moments. Newlyweds started to be a little more relaxed when we started the photo shoot. We walked to a few places for the shooting and then we headed to the party.

Usually at the church I try to shoot the parents with their children. It’s a pretty emotional moment and it’s a good opportunity for me to capture some great images. Here I focused on the bride’s mother as she was looking at her daughter. Only after I realized that the photograph captured her dad also, as he was looking at her mother, a “triangle” if I can say so.

And so we arrived to the long-awaited party. This took place in Bora Bora Galati, a very nice location near outside the city. They all danced until dawn and I can say that everyone was entertained.

During the wedding, Alexandrea and Silviu invited me to Scotland to shoot after the wedding photo session. I accepted the invitation and so we arrived in Edinburgh. Obviously, I did some research on the internet before and I had a full day available to walk around town and seek for places siutable for the shoot. I chose a few places in the city but following their recommendation we traveled outside the city also. We photographed on some hills, in some castles and even ar the North Sea’s shore. At one point a wave took us by surprise and rushed toward us. My my open photo backpack was next to me I had to sacrifice myself and save the equipment. The price paid was a quick cold shower. This is how I learned how salty North Sea’s water is 🙂

I spent some days together and Silviu and Alexandra. We laughed, we talked, and I can say that I won some friends. I’m glad I have met them and I wish them all the best!
